Saying Thank You

When someone posts a sensational frame on SLP they are giving you the chance to see them, to see how their body reacts to situations without them being caught up in emotion.

This is a very venerable thing to do.

Therefore we can all help by acknowledging their vulnerability and ‘saying thank you for sharing’. (by using the thumbs up button under each post)

Cotton brain and jiggly lead

cotton wool 200There was a moment today when preparing for a telephone interview that my brain felt like cotton and my stomach lining turned heavy like lead yet jiggly like jello.

Feeling sick and almost choking

creeping vine 200There was a moment today (after having a conversation I have been avoiding and putting off) that I felt warm sick sensation from my stomach to my adam’s apple where it circled and squeezed my throat like a climbing vine.

Squishy, black leeches

There was a moment today when I ran into him that squishy, black leeches swirled around in my stomach.

Dullness that has a warmth

Dullness. A radiating dullness that has a warmth radiating from it. Located in the center of my back.
Not a pleasant sensation.

Noticing and acknowledging a sensation is not as easy as one would think. However it does get easier over time.

Pulsing expansion

Bladder feeling full, sensation of pulsing expansion just below my stomach.

Restless spiders & violently bubbling water

bioling water 200There was a moment today when I was told that I made it to the telephone interview stage of an application that little restless spiders skittered under my skin and violently bubbling water, like when the water in a kettle is almost done, swelled in my veins.

Electricity, warm water and haze

There was a moment today when I was home alone and heard the loud bang of something dropping downstairs that electricity ran through me so quickly that I couldn’t pinpoint the source and settled in my muscles, the inner tunnels of my ears and the back of my eyes bring everything – sight, sound, touch – into sharp focus. A wave of warm water coursed through me and the usual haze blanketed my senses once more when I found out it was just a bag dropping off a table.

Oozing Baileys

It feels like warm Baileys cream liqueur is oozing gently over my stomach which is full after a big pizza
